Hi

How do I know which one is the message 38 in the file Inbox.dbx?

>BitDefender provides detailed information on the e-mail which contains an infected attachment. The >following information is available: Subject, Date, name of the infected attachment.

I only get the message number!

C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{7A49EAA9-F0AD-4888-9CE1-589CE671E9AF}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Inbox.dbx=>(message 40)

I did

Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{7A49EAA9-F0AD-4888-9CE1-589CE671E9AF}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\ right click on "Inbox" and select the BitDefender option in the menu that appears. After the scan is complete, please open BitDefender, go to Antivirus -> Scan, right click the "Contextual menu scan" task and select "View scan logs".

Hello starwarsmex

First you have to sort your mails on attachments. You can do that by clicking on the icon which looks a paper clip. After that you must see which mails are suspecious (mostly spam mails). Delete these. If that don't work you have to download this program. Open the dbx files and sort on mails with attachments and delete the mail or extract the dbx and let BitDefender scan the extracted folder so you can see which mail it was.

Best regards
Niels

I heard about not bad application-extract dbx, repair mailboxes in Outlook Express format and extract emails, repair messages from all folders and extract .dbx files, even from Deleted Items, can work with very large files of dbx format, works with all Windows operating systems, starting from Windows 98 to Windows Vista.
