Subject : Iexplore.exe - Application Error, since installing antivirus 2008
I've had bit defender(v10) for the past year and just this afternoon I renewed and loaded the antivirus 2008 version, since doing this I'm getting "iexplore.exe - application error" " the instruction at 0x783a2f48 referenced memory at 0x017df62c. the memory could not be read.

this error came up after loading bit defender then restarting...iexplorer was not even loaded. now I just got this same error again. It's a result of bit defender with out a dought...I've never had this problem before.

any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy

Hello randy b

That error can have other causes as well an incompatible add-on for example. Rightclick on the Internet Explorer short cut choose properties, programs (applications), manage add-ons,now select each add-on and select disable write down if Internet explorer crashed or not. You have to do that for every add-on. Try to start Internet Explorer again. Or it could be faulty memory. Download this program. Follow these instructions. If that fails download Internet explorer again or rerun the installer and choose for repair.

Did you first uninstalled the previous BitDefender version? By using this tool.

Best regards
Niels
