Subject : Bitdefender Internet Security 2008 - Unstable
So I was happy to upgrade my BitDefender Internet Security v10 to BitDefender Internet Security 2008 only to find out that the firewall and real-time protection features disable themselves at random and consistently. Currently the only way I can restart these features is to reboot my computer. I had no problem with v10 but this newer BitDefender product seems to be unstable and leaves your machine vulnerable to attack and/or infection.

Can someone help or should I just go back to v10 for stability.

Hello Jimbo Kern

Sometimes when there is a large product update some services need to be restarted so they will be disabled for a few moments. It can happen that the services aren't restarted automatically. Go to start, run, type, services.msc press enter. All BitDefender services should be have the status started if that isn't the case leftclick on them press on start. If you receive an error message then you have to reboot your pc.

Best regards
Niels

I actually did this last night after posting. I went and restarted the BitDefender Threat Scanner which was set to manual and not running. I set it to automatic and got it running, so far so good and no problems. I'll keep you guys informed...

Thanks
